Classroom explainers

Classroom explainers made from real archive photos, with a script a teacher can check.

A page from a school scrapbook: a real map from an archive, a strip of red-and-white tape, and a typewriter that types the explanation as you listen.

I build each video around one topic from your syllabus, using public-domain and Creative Commons images, and I write the script so a teacher can check every claim.

Classroom explainers

What you get

✓

One explainer, 45 to 60 seconds

Vertical for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. A classroom version on request.

✓

Real archive images

Public-domain and Creative Commons pictures, for example from Wikimedia. The licence and author of each one are written down.

✓

Typewriter captions

The text appears as the narrator says it.

✓

A script a teacher can check

Each claim is traced to a source your subject teacher can look up.

✓

A series that feels like a course

Topics grouped by class and subject.

  1. Choose the topics

Each video is matched to a class, a subject and one thing a student should be able to do afterwards.

  2. Find and credit the pictures

I look for real archive images and note the licence and author of each.

  3. Build the page

The scrapbook page is cut, taped and typed in code, so changing a word or a number takes seconds.

  4. A teacher reviews it

A subject teacher watches and leaves notes on the exact second. I fix what they flag, then the series is scheduled.

A real example

20 videos for Indonesian high school

The SMA series has 20 short videos in this style, from map projections to reading a chart. There is also a longer format in which a teacher solves a case from clues in the archive.

This is for you if…

  • Your students or teachers are in Indonesia
  • Your topics need real pictures, not stock footage
  • You want a series that feels like one course

This is probably not for you if…

  • You want a full-length lecture recording
  • You want animated characters rather than archive photos
  • You cannot share your sources for checking

Questions about classroom explainers

Does it follow the Indonesian curriculum?

I match each video to the class, subject and learning goal in the syllabus you give me. I do not replace your teachers’ judgement, which is why a review step is part of the job.

Where do the pictures come from?

Public-domain and Creative Commons archives. I note the source of each one, and I skip anything I am not clearly allowed to reuse.

Can a teacher approve it before it goes online?

Yes. They leave notes on the exact second and mark it approved or not. Nothing is posted until you say so.

Is it only in Indonesian?

Indonesian is the main language for this format today. I can make an English version from the same script.

Want to see one made for you?

Send me the idea in two lines. I will tell you honestly whether it suits this format, and what I would make.
